Reggio Emilia Approach
At La Casita De Wendy, learning is led by curiosity, creativity, and culture. Our program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, where both the teacher and child guide the learning process through exploration and meaningful play.
We offer a dual immersion experience, supporting children in developing strong skills in both English and Spanish. Research shows that early exposure to two languages strengthens cognitive development, improves communication skills, and opens doors to lifelong learning.
Our daily rhythm includes:
-
Circle time & storytelling
-
Outdoor play & nature walks
-
Reading & early literacy
-
Art, music & hands-on activities
-
Homemade meals and rest time
Kindergarten Readiness
Our daily activities build the foundation for school success. Children practice listening, following directions, early math and reading, problem-solving, and working together—while having fun!
Why Dual Immersion?
Learning in two languages helps children build strong brain connections, become flexible thinkers, and develop cultural awareness. Dual immersion gives them the tools to succeed in school and in life—while celebrating the richness of both languages.
Workshops
"Creative minds at work—one project at a time."
At La Casita De Wendy, learning goes beyond the basics—we dive into real-world experiences that awaken curiosity, build skills, and bring joy to every child. Our hands-on workshops are designed to spark creativity and make learning fun, all within our nurturing, dual-language environment.
Every Friday, we dive into a special workshop project! These exciting days give children the chance to explore through themed, hands-on activities.

🔬
Science Projects
We explore the “why” and “how” through simple, age-appropriate science activities that get kids thinking like little scientists. From color mixing and water play to observing bugs, weather, nature, and light, every playful, meaningful project builds observation skills, critical thinking, curiosity, and a love for discovery.

🎶
Music, Dance
& Culture
Children explore music and movement through songs, instruments, and rhythms from Spanish- and English-speaking cultures. Whether dancing to traditional tunes or creating sounds with homemade instruments, these engaging workshops encourage self-expression and cultural connection.

🌱
Nature
We bring nature to life through hands-on outdoor experiences. Children explore soil, plant seeds, water flowers, and observe the changes around them. These simple moments nurture curiosity, responsibility, and a love for the earth—helping children connect with nature while learning through all five senses.

🧁
Baking
As a passionate baker, Miss Wendy invites children to explore the magic of baking. Whether it’s mixing, pouring, decorating, or just smelling something delicious in the oven, these cozy workshops give children real-life experience while practicing math, coordination, and teamwork.
